Why Choose Us
Kapesika mining & Gold processing Ltd was established in 2019, Kapesika Gold is a precious metals refinery located in Ndola, Zambia. Other than mining and processing gold we also deal in copper ore, zinc ore, silver, platinum, and palladium and offers the industry’s highest quality.

Exploration
Mineral exploration begins with initial stage prospecting to determine if a mineral resource exists, or if a known area of mineral resource extends past its known bounds.

Mining – Open pit and Underground
To define the ore from the waste rock, samples are taken and assayed. The findings from exploration drilling are then used to develop what we call a resource model. This provides the information we need to work out where to mine.

Transport
A rubber belted conveyor transports the ore and waste rock from the open pit, approximately two kilometres, via a tunnel through Union Hill, to the mill and waste rock embankments.

Crushing & Grinding
The primary crushers located at the open pit mine site, receive ore and waste at separate times. They break the larger rocks down to a size suitable for transport on the conveyor belt.

Leaching and adsorption
A slurry of ground ore, water and a weak cyanide solution is fed into large steel leach tanks where the gold and silver are dissolved. Following this leaching process the slurry passes through six adsorption tanks containing carbon granules which adsorb the gold and silver. This process removes 93% of the gold and 70% of the silver.

Bullion production
The loaded cathodes are rinsed to yield a gold and silver bearing sludge which is dried, mixed with fluxes and put into the furnace. After several hours the molten material is poured into a cascade of moulds producing bars of doré bullion.
More About Our Process
The mining industry continues to demand safer, more productive, and less costly equipment operators to achieve sustainable mining operations. One-time improvement initiatives have already hit the financial bottom line and their impact is lessening.
Now operations are looking for sustainable long-term, solutions that integrate operational data, analytical tools, and decision making leveraged to improve financial outcomes on an ongoing basis.
Aligning a workforce development strategy with operational data and analytical tools to improve the speed and effectiveness of training & risk management initiatives will produce large financial gains. Immersive Technologies has verified and documented case studies in our Quantified Operational Improvement Catalogue, to highlight the financial gains achieved by miners.
This catalogue is available upon request.
- A highly effective Workforce Optimization Strategy is achieved by aligning your People, Process and Technology.
